Top Medical Research Studies

We investigated the use of phosphatidylserine (PS) liposomes encapsulating specific autoantigens as a treatment for various autoimmune diseases. These liposomes can effectively be tailored for different conditions by simply changing the autoantigen inside them.

Once administered, they target organs and engage with immune cells, promoting tolerance and reducing the immune response associated with diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and myasthenia gravis. Our findings suggest a promising method that is both safe and potentially long-lasting for addressing autoimmune disorders.

Phosphatidylserine shows anti-inflammatory promise
We evaluated how phosphatidylserine (PS) could contribute to treatments for autoimmune diseases. By combining PS with another agent into unique microparticles, we tested their impact on macrophages, a type of immune cell.

When these microparticles interacted with macrophages, they boosted the production of anti-inflammatory signals and decreased the inflammatory response, particularly after a simulated immune challenge.

While our findings indicate potential benefits in reducing inflammation, further research is needed to fully understand the scope of phosphatidylserine's effectiveness for autoimmune disorders.

We delved into how phosphatidylserine (PS)-rich liposomes could foster immune tolerance in type 1 diabetes (T1D). The study focused on human macrophages and their role in capturing these liposomes. Interestingly, we found that macrophages in mice efficiently absorbed PS-liposomes, which led to changes in immune markers and reduced harmful T-cell responses.

While rates of liposome uptake were similar between T1D patients and controls, the response varied among different macrophage types. These findings highlight PS-liposomes' potential as a targeted immunotherapy for T1D by modulating immune functions effectively.

Without exaggeration, phosphatidylserine is my best find among numerous dietary supplements. The small capsules are straightforward to swallow, and after taking one daily for a month, I began to notice improvements in my cognitive function. The fog in my mind has cleared, enhancing my focus, attention, and even motivation. Unlike other supplements, phosphatidylserine has truly exceeded my expectations.

Phosphatidylserine promotes RA treatment
We investigated how a novel treatment using phosphatidylserine (PtdSer) might help address rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by targeting harmful immune cells.

Our findings showcase an efferocytosis-informed nanoimitator that effectively redirects inflammatory macrophages in the joint, helping restore immune balance. Through an innovative approach, this treatment reduces inflammation and protects joint health.

This research suggests that manipulating these immune responses with PtdSer could be a promising strategy for managing RA.

Phosphatidylserine reduces autoimmune activity
We explored how apoptotic vesicles, rich in phosphatidylserine, can influence autoimmune disorders like lupus and arthritis.

This study showed that these vesicles can reduce inflammation and restore immune balance by interacting with CD4 T cells.

They inhibited the production of important proteins that drive autoimmune responses while preserving regulatory T cells.

Ultimately, we found that this could be a promising avenue for developing new therapies for autoimmune diseases.

C-Rel silenced in immune cells
We explored a novel approach to tackle autoimmune disorders by targeting c-Rel, a key player in immune cell inflammation. Using distearoyl-phosphatidylserine (DSPS) nanoparticles, we encapsulated therapeutic siRNA aimed at silencing c-Rel.

Our findings indicated that these nanoparticles improved the uptake of siRNA by immune cells, effectively inhibiting c-Rel expression and demonstrating limited toxicity. While effective in professional phagocytes, the results suggest potential for this system to be adapted for delivering other therapeutic agents to treat inflammatory conditions linked to c-Rel.

However, more studies are needed to fully understand its application in autoimmune disorders.

What the doctor prescribed—I now consume as part of the adrenal support protocol. I found abnormalities in cortisol levels. I notice that I fall asleep quickly and awake feeling refreshed. During the day, I even have a desire to exercise, which has been absent for quite some time. My libido has also improved. I'm pleased so far and will check the final results from my blood tests.

I wish I’d known about phosphatidylserine earlier. My friend, who has an autoimmune disorder, ordered it. I also decided to try it. Within two weeks, she noticed reduced anxiety, better sleep, and improved interactions with her surroundings. I’m from Ukraine and intend to continue taking it beyond a month.

I've ordered this a second time. I suffer from a nervous system issue, particularly an anxiety disorder, along with prolonged insomnia. I feel very anxious and experience dizziness. I believe this, combined with lecithin and other supplements for the nervous system, will help me restore myelin sheaths and improve my condition. I already sense a positive effect in this area.

This is not my first order of this medication. I experience considerable mental stress at work, processing vast amounts of information and often working late or during weekends. When I feel overwhelmed, I resort to these miracle pills, which help me manage the load. By evening, my mind functions far better than without them, and I am pleased with the results. They are also easy to take and have no side effects.

Since all domestic phosphatidylserine in Japan is derived from soybeans, I opted for a Jarrow product made from sunflower, which reassured me. The gel capsule is easy to swallow. Although one review noted headaches from 300 mg, I take one capsule after breakfast and before my evening bath. Even if taken before bed, I sleep well, my dreams improved, and my daytime alertness enhanced significantly. I plan to order 120 gel capsules next.

We evaluated a new treatment using liposomes made from phosphatidylserine to see how they can help manage Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

The study showed that these liposomes are effectively taken up by both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory immune cells.

Importantly, they helped expand regulatory T cells while reducing harmful T cell types in patients with MS.

This suggests that phosphatidylserine liposomes could be a promising new therapy to help balance the immune response in MS patients.
